Zelpha C. Ehlen, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 8, 2005 in Jackson, Michigan. She was born August 19, 1915 in Glencoe, Minnesota to Henry and Caroline (Wendlandt) Donicht. She graduated from Glencoe High School in 1933 and Calhoun Secretarial School in Minneapolis in 1935. She married Arvid Claus Ehlen in November 11, 1938 in Glencoe, MN. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jackson, MI and a long-time member if Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere where she served on the Sanctuary Staff and also a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital.She is survived by one son, David (Judy) of Santee, CA., one daughter, Sandra (Gerald) Draper of Jackson, MI., four grandchildren: Ruth Ehlen of La Mesa, CA, David (Michelle) Ehlen, Jr. of Murietta, CA, Christina (Joseph) Angell of St. Clair Shores, MI., Jeffrey (Kimberly) Draper of Butte, MT., and three great grandchildren: Amanda Ehlen and Benjamin and Elizabeth Angell. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Arvid C. Ehlen in 1990, and her brother, Col. Harry L. Donicht (Ret. USAF) in 1985.
