Yvonne J Branom of Belvidere passed away peacefully with her sons by her side on Saturday December 9, 2017, at Cherryvale Place in Rockford.  Yvonne was born March 19th, 1931 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Edward T and May (Fanning) Jones.  Yvonne earned her Undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1951 and her Masters in Speech Pathology from University of Wisconsin in Madison.  She married William Branom in Belvidere on June 29, 1963.  Yvonne worked as a speech therapist for Belvidere School District 100 until dedicating her time to caring for her family after her first child was born.  She was a member of Zonta Club of Belvidere and Retired Teachers Association. Yvonne enjoyed playing bridge with friends and spending time with her family.  Yvonne is loved and will be missed dearly by all of those that knew her. Yvonne is survived by her son, Matthew (Tara) Branom; granddaughters, Abigail and Nora; son, Edward (Kim Sanford) and her children Allison and Tyler.  She was predeceased by her parents and husband.

Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m, Saturday, December 16, 2017 in First United Methodist Church, 610 Bonus Avenue, Belvidere, IL with Rev. Monty Fox officiating.  Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 15th at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W.
