Winifred "Suzann" Kaltenbach

Winifred Suzann Kaltenbach passed away on May 31, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1937, in Rockford, the daughter of Winnie and James Fulton.

Suzann graduated from East High School in Rockford. During her career, she worked for Header Tool & Dye for many years as well as McGladrey Hendrickson & Co.

On November 5, 1955, she married the love of her life, Wayne Kaltenbach. Together they shared nearly 63 years of marriage and raised three sons. The two are now reunited in the presence of the Lord.

Suzann and Wayne traveled to all 50 states and built a family foundation rooted in love and faith. They enjoyed showing rabbits at the fair, gardening together, and sharing a daily 10 a.m. coffee-and-snack. She was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a woman of strong faith.

Suzann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved the children in her life and cherished every opportunity to spend time with family. She enjoyed playing cards and expressed her love through her nurturing spirit, generosity, and caring heart.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Sherill Gnesda), Michael (Brenda) and Kenneth (Sue); grandchildren, Michelle (Oliver) Munoz and Scott Kaltenbach, and Kathryn (Jonathan) Williams and Kristina (Joshua) Stork; great- grandchildren, Liliana, Maiya, Nikayla, and the twins: Luka and Wesley, siblings Tom (Jan) Fulton and Virginia Davidsaver, as well as sister in law Darlene Peters. She is also survived by numerous friends and extended family she loved dearly.

She is welcomed into heaven by her husband, Wayne Kaltenbach; parents, James and Winnie Fulton, and brothers-in-law, Donald “Pete” Peters, and Tom Davidsaver.

Her funeral service will be at 11am on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Located at 1045 Belvidere Rd. Visitation is 9:30am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Highland Garden of Memories.
