Belvidere, IllinoisWilma Marie (Helgens) Rink 95 of Belvidere, IL died peacefully Tuesday April 23, 2013 in Maple Crest Care Centre, Belvidere, IL. Wilma was born May 27, 1917 in Monticello, Iowa the daughter of William and Emma (Belling) Helgens. She married Edward Jon Rink on August 26, 1935 in Monticello, Iowa. Wilma was a long time member of Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church, Clinton, WI and has lived and worked in the Poplar Grove, Belvidere, IL area since moving from Iowa in 1937. She was an avid listener of the Cubs radio broadcasts and always interested in World Affairs. Survived by brothers Bob (Garnett) Helgens and Jim Helgens of Monticello, Iowa; children Ramona (Larry) Lewis of Milwaukee, WI, Rex Rink of Roscoe, IL, Roger (Chris) Rink of DuBois, WY; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Wilma was a farming housewife, worked 10 years at Automatic Electric in Genoa, IL; worked food services at Nothwoods Care Center in Belvidere, IL until retirement. She is predeceased by Parents; step-mother Anna (Folken) Helgens; brother Richard Helgens; husband Edward Rink; son Richard Rink; daughter in-law Sue Rink.Special Thanks to Maple Crest Care Centre staff for their care over the last two and a half years.
