William Paul Pyszka, 75, of Rockford, IL passed away suddenly on July 17, 2023. He was born on January 7, 1948, to Evelyn (Sullivan) and Robert Pyszka. He graduated from Belvidere High School and went on to continue his education at Northeast Missouri State University. Bill was a longtime educator for the Rockford School District at Westview Elementary School. He taught 5th grade for over 30 years and continued to be involved in the Retired Teacher's Association. Some of his favorite hobbies included birdwatching, stamp collecting, and gardening. He was also a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs baseball team. Above all, William was deeply devoted to his family. Upon his retirement, Bill was the primary caregiver for his mother, Evelyn. He loved spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Douglas (Alexis) Pyszka, Heather (Bradley Johnson) and Melinda (Vasilios Avramopoulos); the mother of his children, Teresa Pyszka; grandchildren, Lucille, Eliana, Annabelle, and Yianni; brother, Bob (Debi) Pyszka; and brother-in-law, Sam (Liz) Cory. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whom he loved dearly.

He is welcomed into heaven by his parents, Evelyn and Robert Pyszka; sister, Betty Jane Cory; and nephew, Michael Pyszka.

Private burial will be held at Highland Garden of Memories.
