William "Billy" Paul Drexler, 95, of Belvidere for fifty plus years, formerly of Morton, IL, died peacefully in his home October 29, 2012. Billy was born September 5, 1917, in Morton, IL to William and Mary (Keister) Drexler. He graduated from Bradley University School of Horology. Billy married Marian J. Zimmerman on June 15, 1945, in Taylorville, IL. He worked for TPW Railroad, Automatic Electric, and retired from a career in watch repair of over 70 years. Billy was active in local model railroading, enjoyed gardening and listening to classical music, and was interested in weather, meteorology, and astronomy. Billy's survivors include nephews and nieces, Dr. Frederick Drexler, Dr. Robert Drexler, Dr. Christopher Drexler, Thomas Drexler, Dr. John Drexler, Mary Drexler-Collins, Sarah Drexler-Ryan; and sister-in-law, Virginia Drexler. Billy was predeceased by his parents; wife, Marian; brothers, Dr. Robert and Russell Drexler; and sister, Edith Drexler-Zimmerman.
