William J. "Bill" Keegan, Sr. 78, of Belvidere, died Thursday, January 5, 2006 in Northwoods Care Center following a long illness. Born February 7, 1927 in Monroe, Wisconsin, son of Joseph and Lolah (Lowe) Keegan. He married Margery P. Bolz in Genoa, Illinois on February 9, 1947. Employed as a Heavy Machine Operator for many years. Veteran of WWII serving the Army. He attended First United Methodist Church and is a member of the American Legion, Genoa, Illinois. He attended Monroe, Wisc. And Genoa, Ill. Schools. Bill is survived by wife, Margery; five sons, William, Jr.; Roger (Teri); Greg (Donna); John; and Brian (Lori) Keegan; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Brown, Lois (Owen) Ball; three brothers, Joe (Doris); Eugene (Fawn); David (Barb)Keegan; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Parents, four sons, Terry, Phillip, Joseph and Kelly; a sister, Verlene Peters; and brother, Russell Keegan.
