William Joesph Horkheimer (Bill), age 70, was called to his heavenly home to heaven on Sunday November 25th 2018. Born December 30th 1947 in Prairie Du Chien, WI to Louis and Rita (Lorenz) Horkheimer. Predeceased by his loving daughter, Nicole Horkheimer and his parents, Louis and Rita Horkheimer. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Stankus) Horkheimer; his son, William Horkheimer Jr. and his wife Khristy Horkheimer, his son, Brian Horkheimer, his daughter, Cheryl Davis and Husband Jesse Davis; and his grandchildren, Haylee Horkheimer, Gavin Horkheimer, Daxton Horkheimer, and Cameron Davis. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, & friend. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran wounded during service and awarded the Purple Heart. He worked at Belvidere assembly plant for 35yrs. before retiring.  He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Bill was always helping people whether it was fixing their cars or giving a helping hand. He always cared about others more than himself. He was an amazing and unique personality and will be greatly missed and thought often of with a smile! The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29th from 5-7pm at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services in Belvidere, IL, The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 30th at St. James Church in Belvidere, IL at 10am.  Military honors will follow at the VFW in Belvidere, IL.
