William Martin Geske, 45, formally of Crystal Lake, IL and currently a resident of Caledonia IL, passed away November 17, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born May 4, 1973 in Elgin, IL, the son of David and Sharyn (Auld) Geske. Upon graduating from Crystal Lake South High School, he went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Central Methodist University. Will married the love of his life, Leslie, on July 21, 2007 at Christ the Rock Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL. He worked as a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones for 10 years. He was a member of many different clubs and an outstanding member of his community. He was a member of Loves Park Rotary, Cosmopolitan Club, Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club, Big Thunder Grange, and Club Blue. Will loved to spend time with his daughters, golf, watch Cubs or Bears games, play poker or cards, watch and discuss movies, and travel to new places.
Will is loved and missed by his wife; parents; daughters, Lila Hope Geske and Nora Camille Geske; sisters, Lea (Timothy) Cornish, Janice Geske, and Karre (Michael) Cromwell; mother and father in laws, Jennifer and Gregory Gibson, and Kenneth Harrison; brother and sister in laws, Bryce (Stacy) Aldrich, Shannon (David) Canfield, Jennifer (Nathan) Lafleur, and Landry Gibson; and nieces and nephews, Gentry, Jaxson, and Justice Cromwell, Jacob Cornish, Brandon and Briley Aldrich, Jacob, Connor, Dawson, and Chloe Canfield, and Eli Gibson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and brother in law, Kevin Sinning.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. A visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services with a Boone County Grange service at 7:30 p.m. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials under Will's name may be made out to Cancer Treatment Center of America, 2520 Elisha Ave, Zion, IL 60099, Cancer Commons, 5050 El Camino Real, Suite 215, Los Altos, CA 94022, or any cancer charity of your choosing.
