William G. "Jerry" Day, 71, of Belvidere, died Wednesday, October 5, 2005 in Northwoods Care Center following a short illness. Born May 5, 1934 in Roadhouse, Illinois to George and Lucretia (Buchanan) Day. Lived in Belvidere since 1999, coming here from Bloomington, Illinois. He was a cement finisher with Hundman Construction and was also owner and operator of Day Nursery with his wife, Candy. Former member of Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington. Following retirement, re enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being of service to his family. He also enjoyed watching CNN and HGTV and a avid reader. He is survived by two daughters, Lori (Anthony Rieger) Beyer, Oglesby, Illinois; Kelly (Dave Brown) Wolf, Belvidere; Son, Jim Day, Belvidere; 11 grandchildren; 1 greatgrandchild. Predeceased by parents, Son, Michael; grandson, David Wolf; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
