William L. Burmeister, 55, of Belvidere, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center Emergency Room following a sudden illness. Born December 4, 1949 in Monroe, Wisconsin. Son of Cecil A. and Bernice L. (Johnson) Burmeister. He was a self employed handyman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, completing two tours of Germany during the Vietnam Era. Member of the American Legion, Boone Post 77, V.F.W. John Hugo Kaiser Post #1461 and the Eagles Club. He is survived by special friend, Cathy Wills; Son, Jaycen(Jennifer) Burmeister; two grandchildren Payton and Grace; three sisters, Luan(John) Beach; Marjorie (Joe) Goldhagen; Mary (Gene) Gille; two brothers, Jerold (Carol) and Lewis (Connie) Burmeister. Predeceased by parents and sister, Susan Parkinson.
