Wilbur R. Cummings, age 82, of Belvidere, IL, died early Friday morning, July 8, 2005 in his home after a sudden illness. Wilbur was born September 29, 1922 in Rockford, Illinois the son of Ralph A. and Isabelle (McDonald) Cummings. Wilbur was a life long resident of Caledonia, IL. He was a member of Caledonia Congregational Church, a former trustee for Caledonia Township for 36 years, former Malta Township treasurer, North Boone Fire Department, Belvidere Police and Fire Commission, Belvidere Moose Lodge and with his brother, worked for 27 years at the Belford Theater.Survivors include his brother, William D. Cummings of Belvidere, Il; cousins and many close friends.
