Belvidere, IllinoisWayne Wascher, 57, of Rockford, Illinois died peacefully in his home, Tuesday, May 13, 2008 after a sudden illness. Wayne was born in Belvidere, Illinois on September 15, 1950, the son of Fred W. and Elnora (Putt) Wascher. He graduated from Belvidere High School in 1968 and shortly thereafter joined the US Army, serving stateside during the Vietnam War. Wayne was the Territory Sales Manager for O'Reilly Auto Parts; prior to that he worked for Anderson Dodge and the Northwestern Railroad. Wayne was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ; and he enjoyed bicycling, fishing, collecting hockey cards and was a Blackhawk and Ice Hog fan.Survivors include his sisters, Rochelle (Lee) Holliston of Rockford and Phyllis (Tom) Nilsen of Belvidere, IL; niece and nephew, Jill Holliston and Kent (Rhema) Holliston both of Rockford.Wayne is predeceased by his parents and grandparents.

A memorial will be established in Wayne's name.
