Wayne Schreiber, 78, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully in Rockford, IL, April 12, 2023. He was born June 4, 1944, in Des Plaines, IL, son to Eric and Dorothy (Monzula) Schreiber. Wayne graduated high school and married Cheryl Barrow on February 5, 1966, at St. Williams Church in Chicago. They were married for 57 years! Wayne was a business owner for his store, Wayne's Dinette, Bars and Stools and a machinist by trade. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Church. Wayne loved fishing, cars and working on cars! He was a huge sports fan which included supporting his favorite Chicago teams, The Bears and The Cubbies! Wayne loved Italian food and had a great sense of humor. He especially adored his family and his grandkids.

Wayne will be loved and is missed by his wife, Cheri; sons, Rob (Tammy) Schreiber and Dave (Nicole) Schreiber; daughter, Peach (Louis) Reza; and grandchildren, Brittney, Kyle, Rachel, Scotty, Mason, Breanna (Damien), Nico, and Grace; step grandchildren, Amberly, Mike, Paul and Nicole; and step great-grandchildren, Phoebe, Anthony, Elizabeth, Benny and Harrison. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Wayne's memorial visitation will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10 a.m. until the time of Wayne's memorial service at 11 a.m. at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. Rev. Allan Buss will officiate. Memorial contributions in his honor can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
