Wayne Atkinson, 55, of Rockford, IL, died suddenly Monday evening, November 30, 2015 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL. Wayne was born June 23, 1960 in Rochelle IL, son of Lester and Martha (White) Atkinson. Wayne attended Genoa-Kingston High School. He was employed by Greenlee Textron for 27 years, in Genoa, IL where he was well respected by the people who worked alongside him. He had a huge passion for riding his motorcycle, and going to air shows.

Wayne is loved and will be missed by his son, Tyler; mother, Martha Atkinson, siblings, William (Maria) Atkinson, Earl Atkinson, Donna (Jon) Kummer, Patricia Grisales, Martha Montero and Laura Kirk. He is predeceased by his father, Lester and brother, Roger.
