Walter Gibson, Jr., 85, of Belvidere, IL., died Monday December 26, 2005 at Northwoods Care Centre. He was born February 14, 1920 in Oak Park, IL. to Walter A. and Helen (Ade) Gibson. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1937. He served in the US Army from 1942-1945. On August 28, 1943 he married Charline Buchanan in Joplin, MO. He was an engineer for General Electric before his retirement. He was a member of the Genoa Lions Club and an active Legion member in PawPaw.He is survived by his wife Charline of Belvidere, sons: Gary (Deloris) Gibson of Garden Prairie, Donald Gibson of Belvidere, 2 grandchildren: Richard and Andrea Gibson of Garden Prairie, 2 great-grandchildren: Cody and Sandra Gibson, a sister Helen (Frank) Kish of Speedway, IN., a nephew: Michael (Carla) Kish of Indiana. He is predeceased by his parents. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Northwoods Care Centre.
