Walter E. Anderson, 88, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 24,2017 at Maple Crest Care Center in Belvidere, IL. Walter was born August 2, 1929, son of Walter and Florence Anderson. He graduated from Dundee high School and worked as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service. Walter served with the U.S. Army, he enjoyed coin collecting and spending time at the cottage in Whitewater, WI.

He is loved and will be missed by his children, Bruce, Katie, Barbara; step-children, Linda, Laura, Donna, Paul, John; Brother James (Ladonna) Anderson. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Anderson, late wife Ella Bak-Anderson and sister, Nancy Allen.

Graveside service will take place 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Oak Wood Cemetery in Sharon WI, with Rev. Dough Carroll officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Poplar Grove United Methodist Church.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.Andersonfcs.com
