Virginia "Ginny" Mae Tice, 94, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on July 3, 2024. Born on March 24, 1930, in Belvidere, to Helen Marion (Wheeler) and Henry Clifford Heller. Ginny was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She graduated from Belvidere high school in 1948, and went on to work as a Proof Operator in banking for 39 years. Ginny enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, crafting, and getting lost in a good book. She was a long time member of the VFW and Moose Lodge.
For many years, Ginny was a tournament bowler. This talent allowed her to travel to many places to compete. Ginny spent 47 years alongside her longtime companion, Harold Albrecht. They made many beautiful memories together dancing and doing the jitterbug, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Ginny will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Theresa M. (John) Ziemann and Timothy R. (Carol) Tice; sister, Donna Medelberg, and companion Harold Albrecht. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly.
She is predeceased by her parents, and sister, Joyce M. Duckey.
Virginia's visitation will be on Friday, July 19th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 324 University Dr. Rockford, IL, between the hours of 10am-11am funeral service to follow at 11am.
