Poplar Grove, ILVirginia E. Doetch, 85, of Poplar Grove, IL died peacefully Sunday afternoon April 7, 2013 in P.A. Peterson after a lingering illness, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born September 4, 1927 in Jackson County, Illinois the daughter of Benjamin and Leah (McDuff) McBride. Virginia married Mr. Troy C. Doetch on July 27, 1943 in St. Louis, MO. She and Troy farmed in Poplar Grove; she also worked with the Illinois Tollway starting as a toll collector and retiring as a supervisor. Virginia was a former member of Owen Center United Methodist Church. Virginia's greatest joy in life was loving her family.Virginia is loved and will be missed by her children Donna Clothier of Normal, IL, Dr. Troy (Patricia) Doetch, Ronald G. (Cheri) Doetch, Benjamin (Debbie) Doetch, Lennie (Tami) Doetch all of Poplar Grove; adopted daughter Debby (Neal) Redner Thornton; grandchildren Anna, John, Angie, Molly, Katy, Sara, Emily, Jeremy, Shauna, Barry, Benjamin, Jason, Josh, Kila, Troy Jr, Dillon; sister Louise McGuire of Malta, IL; brothers Duff McBride of Ava, IL and Danny McBride of Murphysboro, IL; niece Gaye Bowgren; nephew Gregory McGuire; special friend Michael. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband Troy in 1995; four sisters and two brothers.

Memorials can be given in care of OSF Hospice or the Joey Powers Leukemia Project in Virginia's memory.
