Virginia P. Dague, 95, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, December 3, 2014 in Maple Crest.  Virginia was born June 11, 1919 in Malta, IL the daughter of Clarence and Jessie (VanPatten) Plapp.  She married Mr. Ballard Dague on May 31, 1947 in the Malta Methodist Church.  She worked for years alongside her husband in the family business, Dague Decorators; she also worked for the Belvidere Republican and Shappert Engineering.  Virginia was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir; she was also a member of the Belvidere Women's Club, Adeline Chapter 118 Eastern Star, and was a lifetime member of Highland Hospital Auxiliary.

Virginia is loved and will be missed by her sister, Marian Chapman; nieces, Melodie, Maralene, Michelle, and Manette; nephew, Dwight (Karla) Davidson; several great-nieces and nephews and great-great- nieces and nephews.  Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ballard; brothers, Herbert, Richard and Robert.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel with Rev. Dr. Robert Kopp, pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating.  Visitation will be from Noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
