Violet M. Johnson, 85, of Belvidere, Rockford and Rockton, IL, died peacefully January 26, 2022 in Belvidere. She was born September 15, 1936, in Tomah, WI, daughter to Chester E. and Helen M. (Shaw) Jeffers. She worked at Dodge Lanes, Sears and managed Michael's restaurant.Michael's was her second home and the memories and friends she made there were some of her favorites. In her spare time, Vi loved bowling,golf and drinking tea.She helped develop the Kids Bowling League at Dodge Lanes and was the true definition of a formidable woman.

She is loved and will be dearly missed by her children, Rhonda (Rick) Jacobson, Debby (Nick) Nardiello, Linda (Elliot) Harris and Diana (Todd) Walberg; grandchildren, Shayla Spiess, Nicole Ackerman, Elton Spiess, Sarah, Todd Silberhorn, Patrick Johnson, Paul Merkel, Kealy McWilliams, Perry Markel, Jerrica Merkel, Jessica Merkel,Mackenzie Nardiello and Reilly Walberg; 20 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Violet is preceded in death by William Jeffers; Rose Watkins; Genevieve Chapman and Joice Knaack.

A celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Sundstrand Park in Belvidere.
