Viola (Taylor) Nimtz, 79, of Belvidere, died Monday, October 8, 2012 in Swedish-American Heart Hospital following a sudden illness. Viola was born on May 17, 1933 in Alexandria, Indiana, the daughter of Harlan and Bernice Taylor. She worked seven years at McGill Metal Products, four years in Florence Nursing Home in Marengo, six and a half years at Dollar General store in Belvidere. Viola worked at the Boone County Council on Aging before retiring. Viola was a member of East Park Baptist ChurchShe is survived by her five children, Dan Nimtz, Tom Nimtz, Kevin J. (Seana) Smith; Scott (Sara) Smith, Julie (Ron) Witherby, two step-daughters, Mary Scalizitti; April Martinez; two sisters, Nona Woodcock; Pauline Reininger; a brother, Lyman Taylor, Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Viola was preceded in death by, parents; brother, Dave Taylor; two sisters, Virginia Reininger and Lucille Long; two children, Diane and Roger Nimtz and husband, Albert C. Nimtz.
