Veronica "Cookie" Bemus, 66, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a long illness. Born Sept. 11, 1943 in Chicago, daughter of Walter and Stephanie (Korytowski) Krawczyk. Married George Bemus on June 4, 1966 in Niles, IL.Survivors include her husband George of Belvidere, Sons George (Valerie) of St. Charles and Scot of Schaumburg, granddaughter Cassandra Bemus, brother Walter (Cindy) Taylor of Chicago, sisters Dorothy Jack and Elaine Cooper both of Roselle, IL; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and brother Ronald Krawczyk.
