Vera Koets, 97, of Belvidere, IL, passed away, Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in Alma Debes in Rockford. Born September 27, 1918 in Danforth, IL, daughter of John and Angie (Perzee) Zeedyk. She married the love of her life, Arthur L. Koets on October 14, 1939 in Danforth, IL. Vera was employed by United Airlines. She was a faithful member of First Free Evangelical Church. Vera loved to tend to her flowers in her gardens. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.

Vera is loved and will be missed by her children, Darwin (Janet) Koets, and Donald (Sandra) Koets; grandchildren, Thad (Danis) Koets, Amy Branham, Danielle (Vincent) Ventura, Ryan Koets, and Todd Branham- grandson-in-law; great-grandchildren, Jake and Grace Koets, James and Austin Branham, Katelyn and Kourtney Ventura; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Arthur.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Chuck Rife officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to First Free Evangelical Church or Evangelical Covenant Church, Belvidere.
