Velva M. Dean, 92, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 6, 2023. She was born on March 8, 1930 in Greenville, Tennessee to Grace and Joe Renner. She was a deeply devoted mother, grandmother, great, and great-great grandmother. Velva was married to, Robert E. Dean, and together they shared two children. She worked for Admiral Corp. in Harvard IL, and she enjoyed watching old western movies. Velva loved to spend her time out on the front porch enjoying the fresh air, and above all spending quality time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.

Velva is survived by her children, Helen (Bruce) Poirier, Ken (Donna) Dean; grandchildren, Amber (Randy) Finzel, Andrea (Kevin Smith) Poirier, Steven (Lisa) Dean, Amy (Jason Bales) Dean; great-grandchildren, Alyssa (Juan) Cruz, Shelby (Kyle) Pratt, Sean Doser, Deanna Finzel, Skyler Finzel, Graham Smith, Ainsley Dean, and Morgan Dean; great-great grandchildren, Aurora and Riley Pratt, and Aiden and Oliver Finzel. She is also survived by siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly.

She is welcomed into heaven by her husband, Robert E. Dean; her parents, Grace and Joe Renner; as well as her siblings and her mother and father-in-law, Stella and Tom Morris and extended family.

A funeral for Velva will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11am at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. A visitation will take place at 10am until the time of service.

Burial will be at Highland Garden of Memories.
