Velora Almetta (Treadway) Persson, 76, of Belvidere, IL; passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Cox Medical Center, Branson, Mo. She was born December 28, 1936 in Belvidere; the daughter of Herbert J. and Alvina (Boomgarden) Bunger. She was married to Thomas F. Treadway, Sr. on May10, 1958. He preceded her in death. She then married Carl O. Persson on August 19, 1999. Velora drove a school bus for Immanuel Lutheran School and for Belvidere School District 100 as well as served at the Keen Age Center. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belvidere and the Belvidere Moose Lodge #295. Velora will be greatly remembered for all that she did. She is survived by her Husband, Carl; four children, Bonnie (Rick) Miley, Connie (Ronald) Lawson, Janet (Bo) Brown; Linda (Robert) Wheeler; daughter-in-law, Tzena Treadway; Carl's children, Carolyn (Hillary) Gentry, Jim (Jaime) Persson, Harvey Persson, Steve (Rachel) Persson; 21 Grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 3 sisters, Dixie (Richard) Allen, Crystalyn Mays, Iris Humphry; 2 brothers, Herbert (Barb) Bunger and Randy (Ruth) Bunger. In addition to her first husband, Velora is preceded in death by her parents, son, Thomas Treadway, Jr. 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
