Van Patten Krueger, 76, of Belvidere, Illinois, died peacefully July 13. 2018, in Sycamore, Illinois. He was born February 1, 1942 in Dekalb, Illinois to Fred and Dorothea (Van Patten) Krueger. Van Patten married his sweetheart on June 11, 1966 in DesPlaines, Illinois.

Van received his Bachelor of Arts at Southern Illinois University  and was an Art teacher for many years. He loved trains, music and art. He was an avid reader and loved cars.

Mr. Krueger is survived by his wife, Linda, of 52 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
