Travis Lee Hudson, 25, of Tampa, Fla., parted our world on October 28, 2005 from injuries sustained while working on the job. Born March 5, 1980 in Belvidere, Ill., to William L. and Judith A. (Malvitz) Hudson. Travis had relocated to Tampa, Fla. one year ago and was employed as a foreman for Cheyenne Asphalt Inc. of Brooksville, Fla. Previously employed by Lange's Roofing and Siding of Belvidere, Ill. Prior to starting his journey in Florida, Travis graduated from Belvidere High School, class of 1998. He attained 3 year varsity letters in golf and baseball along with 2 year varsity letters in basketball and was named to all conference teams. He had attended Carthage College as well as Rock Valley College where he achieved MVP status for his talents in baseball. Travis loved life, and lived his life to the fullest. He had a love for baseball, softball, fishing and golf. But what he cherished most was every minute with his family and friends. Travis is survived by his parents, Bill and Judy Hudson, of Belvidere; three brothers, Todd (Tricia) of Belvidere, Tim (Kim) of Rockford, Troy (Stacey) of Belvidere; four nephews, Tanner, Tyler, Caleb and Mat; three nieces, Madison, Cati and Ellianna; grandmother, Hazel Malvitz of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; aunts, uncles, cousins; along with countless other family and adoring friends. Predeceased by paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather. Travis will be dearly missed by all he touched during his time with us. May his memory and smile live on forever in our hearts and minds. We love you.
