Timothy Charles Diedrick, 67, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on April 4, 2026.

Born on December 27, 1958, in Elgin, IL, Tim was the son of Eugene and Elaine (Conro) Diedrick. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and son, Tim lived a life built on hard work, loyalty, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Tim worked for 32 years at Union Special in Huntley, where he rose through the ranks to become a Foreman and Supervisor, earning the respect of his peers. After Union Special, he spent another 8 years working at Chrysler in Belvidere, always bringing his strong work ethic and experience to every role.

On February 9, 1980, Tim married Kathy Bicknese, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Together, they raised two daughters and shared 46 years of marriage. Tim was reliable, calm under pressure, and always with a dry wit to make you laugh. His love for Kathy and his family was unwavering. He was the father that always looked out for his girls, checked in to remind them to get an oil change, looked out for bad weather on its way, and let them know that he’s always thinking of them.

A passionate fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs, Tim found joy in following his teams through the good years and the bad. A history enthusiast, particularly fascinated by World War I and II he held a deep respect for military history.

Tim was supportive and enjoyed talking to his grandchildren about their schooling and sport activities. He was also known to enjoy a well made martini with his dad and family. Tim will be remembered for his steadfast devotion to his family and his ability to bring humor and warmth to any situation.

His legacy will live on through his family, who take comfort in knowing that his love and wisdom will guide them for years to come. He will be deeply missed and loved.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Diedrick, their daughters, Megan (Roberto) Chavira, and Abby Tucker; his mother, Elaine Diedrick; his grandchildren, Fenix and Kalina Chavira, as well as Audriana and Amari Tucker; siblings, Kirk (Sharon) Diedrick, Angie (Rex) Young, and Jason Diedrick.

Tim is welcomed into heaven by his father Eugene Diedrick and father-in-law, Donald Bicknese.

Memorial services are private to family and cremation rites accorded.
