Thomas W. Casey, 26, of Rockford, died suddenly Monday, May 21, in the emergency room of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Tom was born June 2, 1980, in Rockford, the son of Carol Reininger Casey. On September 13, 2003, he married his high school sweetheart, Lisa M. Molander, in Belvidere. As a youth, he played AYSO soccer and was a member of the Barracuda Swim Team. Tom was a 1999 graduate of Belvidere High School where he played football four years and as a senior was on the NIC 9 all-conference team. Tom's hobbies included golf, snowboarding, fishing, bowling, canoeing, snowmobiling, darts, basketball; he loved to barbeque and play beanbag toss and was a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a loving husband and father to his four-legged son, Cooper.Survivors include his wife, Lisa; mother Carol Casey, sister Linda Casey and brother James (Rebecca) Casey, nephews Donovan and Mychal, all of Rockford; mother and father-in-law Sherry and Randy Molander; sister-in-law Sara Molander; grandparents August and Pauline Reininger, Belvidere; aunt and uncle Terry and Ginger Reininger, and Gary Reininger. Predeceased by grandparents Aubry and Letha Casey, May Reininger, great-grandparents Jacob and Eva Reininger; and aunt Linda Reininger.
