Theodore J. "Ted" Turek, 100, of Belvidere, IL, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. Ted was born April 29, 1915 in Thorp, Wisconsin, son of Joseph and Mary Turek. He enlisted in the United States Army and served during World War II in the United States. Ted was employed as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed polka dancing, cars and playing cards.

He is loved and will be missed by his siblings, Leo Turek, Louis Turek, and Stella Meyers; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clarence and Eddie; sister, Emily.
