Thelma Madline Palmer, 88, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, in her home. Thelma was born April 10, 1934, the daughter of James and Edith (Vicars) Case in Garrett, Kentucky. She married Dale Palmer on August 17, 1951, in Harvard, Illinois. They went on to have three children.

Thelma was a home maker and spent her life taking care of her family. She was also an active member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to scripture. She also liked to babysit and spend time with Candie, the dog.

Thelma is loved and will be missed greatly by her children; Clifford Palmer, Debra (Philip) Hart, Don Palmer (Susan Clark), her siblings; Bob (Flory) Case, Nancy (Jim) Wright, her grandchildren; Stacey (Kelly) Palmer, Brenda (Terry) Wheeler, David Palmer, Dylan Hart, and her great grandchildren; Terri Lynn, Zack, Payton, David Jr., Susan, Shawn and Derek.

Thelma is preceded in death by Edgar Case, Eugene Case, Ralph Case, Frances Rubert and Faye Nelson as well as grandson, Scott Decker.

The visitation for Thelma will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 9:00 A.M., at First Baptist Church located at 1255 W Jackson St, Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M., with burial to follow at Highland Garden Memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Thelma's name may be given to the family.
