Terry Allen Blazer, 73, of Barnett, MO, passed away on December 13, 2024.

Born on September 8, 1951, Terry was the son of Gladys (Rhodes) and Howard Blazer. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Terry had a long career as a machinist, beginning at CAMCAR and continuing with various manufacturing companies in the Belvidere, Cherry Valley, and Rockford areas. His strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were central to his life.

A lover of nature, Terry found joy in gardening and hunting. His passion for music spanned decades, with fond memories of concerts featuring bands like Cheap Trick and ACDC. Above all, Terry cherished his family, and they were his greatest joy.

Terry proudly served his country after being drafted into the United States Army, receiving a medical discharge. He will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and love for his family, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Shawn (Virgil) Steele and Shane Blazer; the mother of his children, Shirley Dickens; siblings, Tim, Rick, and Karen Blazer; granddaughter, Heather (Aaron Godard) Strang; great-grandchildren, Callie and Tyler, as well as numerous nieces,  nephews, and extended family whom he loved dearly.

He is welcomed into heaven by his parents, Gladys and Howard Blazer; siblings, Gene, Kay, Bill, Ronny "Ron" Blazer, Gladys Larkens, Howard Blazer, and Denny Blazer.

Terry's graveside service will be Friday, December 27th at 11am at Blaine Cemetery in Poplar Grove, IL. Celebration of life to follow with light refreshments at Blaine United Methodist Church.
