Teresa M. Oblinger, 85, passed away on Holy Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere, Illinois. Teresa was the daughter of Leah and Louis Perra of Maple Lake, Minnesota. She married George Oblinger III in 1959 and together they raised four children, including a set of twins. They moved to Belvidere in 1964. Teresa enjoyed painting, floral arranging, gardening, and singing with the Catholic Daughters Organization. She continued her painting and winters in Arizona for as long as she was physically able to. She will be remembered for her tenacity, sweetness, and loving heart.

Survived by two sons, David (Kim) Oblinger, Loves Park, IL and Dennis (Patti) Oblinger, Rockford, IL; and daughter, Denise Shadle, Marengo, IL. Six grown grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren between the ages of 18 days and 7 years old. She is also survived by her sister, Beatrice (Loren) Stoppleman, Maple Lake Minnesota; and sister-in-law, Rose Beech, Streetsboro Ohio. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leah and Louis Perra; husband, George; son, Timothy; brothers, Thomas Perra, Lawrence Perra; and son-in-law, David Shadle.

Teresa's Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. Mass at St. James Catholic Church April 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. Located at 402 Church St., Belvidere, IL. Burial to follow at St. James Cemetery. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of ProMedica Hospice and Northwoods for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and ProMedica Hospice in memory of Teresa.
