Sylvia L. RichardsonSylvia L. Richardson, 98, of Belvidere, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 in Maple Crest Nursing Home following a short illness. She was born on May 6, 1906 in Plainfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of Miles and Olive (Stevens) Cornwell. She has lived in Belvidere the past 10 years, coming here from Capron, Illinois. Sylvia married Orie Ellis in Bancroft, Wisconsin in 1924. He preceded her in death. She later married Clarence E. Richardson in Capron on October 18, 1969. Employed as a Stock Cutter by the Admiral Corporation for nineteen years retiring in 1969. Member of the Capron United Methodist Church and 25 year member of LeRoy Community Grange. She graduated from Bancroft, Wisconsin High School.She is survived by her husband, Clarence, of Belvidere; four children, Leslie (Beverly) Ellis; Edward (Kay) Ellis; Lila (Norman) Svedin; Loren (Bea) Ellis; three stepchildren, Joanne (Ed) Randall; Edwin Richardson; Dian (James) Bethea; Step-daughter-in-law, Geneva Richardson. In addition to her first husband, she is preceded in death by daughter, Shirley Griffith; grandson, Mark Allen Svedin; sister, Belva Allison; brother, Oscar Cornwell; and step-son, Don Richardson.
