Sylvia (Mae) Horner, 90, of Belvidere, IL passed away in Rockford on November 10, 2016. She was born August 1, 1926 in Greene County, Tennessee, the daughter of Elsie and Grace (Barker) Patterson. Sylvia later in life married William F. Horner. She worked as a product inspector for Mcgill Metal Products in Marengo, IL. Sylvia enjoyed crocheting, gardening, going for walks and being with family.



She is loved and missed dearly by her children, Mary Diane Pumillia, Sandy (Wade) Dummer, Vivian (Robert) VerHagen, Dennis Horner, Glenda (Bryan Barca) LaVelle; grandchildren, Samantha, Rodney, Randy, Justin, Jeremey, Ross, Josh, Tamara, RJ, Kathy, Mary and Diana; sisters, Loraine (Gene) Hilton, and Velma (Everette) Phillips and devoted daughter in law, Melody Horner. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William; sons, Roger Horner, Allen Horner, and Robert Horner; grandchildren, Nicole and Linda Sue; brothers, Melvin, Victor, Troy and Paul; and sisters, Mildred and Pauline.



Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Dan Schenck officiating.
