Steve Alex Quast, 55, of Belvidere, Illinois and formerly of Louisville, Kentucky and Burlington, Wisconsin died May 15, 2008 in Belvidere after a 2 year battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. Steve was born August 25, 1952 in Burlington, Wisconsin the son of Ernie and Vera Quast. He married Rita Foster in Madison, Wisconsin on October 8, 1977. Steven was a production plant manager for 30 years. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1971 and was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was involved with the Men's Club, and a coach for the boy's and girl's basketball teams.Steven is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Matt Quast of Denver, Colorado and Allison Quast of Belvidere, Illinois; sister, Pam (Wayne) Dunbar of Belvidere, Illinois; brother, Robert Quast of Burlington, Wisconsin; numerous nieces and nephews.
