Stephen E. "Steve" Trapp, 38, of Rockford, formerly of Belvidere, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in his home following a two year battle with cancer. He was born on March 4, 1969 in Belvidere, Ill., the son of Robert L. and Jeanne (Lind) Trapp. Steve was employed as a drafter for Amphenul Antel for ten years. He was an avid reader and computer gamer. He is a graduate of Belvidere High School, Class of 1987. He received is associate degree in Engineering from Don Woody Institute, Minneapolis, MN. He is survived by his father, Robert L. Trapp, Belvidere; three sisters, Susan (David) Meyer, Belvidere; Sally Ashens, Winnebago, Ill.; Sheila Trapp, Rockford, Ill.; and a brother, Robert F. (Barbara) Trapp, St. Petersburg, Fla.; his aunt, Joanne Vanderbilt; many nieces, nephews, cousins and two special friends, Dustin and Rhea.
