Shirley E. Waser, 78, of Rockford, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Swedish American Hospital. Born January 29, 1935 in Beloit, Wisconsin; daughter of Lewis and Vada (Michael) Meyers. Married Carl Waser on June 29, 1952 in Beloit. Member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Belvidere. Shirley dedicated her life to taking care of her family; she loved gardening, painting, crafts, butterflies, and blue birds.Survivors include her loving husband Carl, daughters Gwendolyn (Larry) Schumacher of Belvidere, Darline (Ken) Baraconi of Pecatonica; sons Harley (Angie) Waser of Hemet, CA, Ken (Sue) Waser of Cherry Valley; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Velda (Jim) Tyler, Marlene (Dick) Churchill, Trudy (Jim) Daniels; brother Edward (Germane) Meyers; aunt Ellen (Dave) Reed; and an abundance of extended family. Predeceased by her parents and brother Bob Schult.
