Capron, IllinoisShirley Robinson, 77, of Capron, Illinois died Saturday afternoon April 1, 2006 in the emergency room of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Shirley was born August 20, 1928 in Belvidere, Illinois the daughter of Fred and Sadie E. (Easton) Smith. Shirley worked for Christensen-Smith Trucking Co and then for Fred Smith Trucking Co as a bookkeeper; but her passion was teaching music. She was a piano and organ teacher for many years. Shirley married Fay Robinson on November 23, 1947 in Capron. Fay predeceased Shirley in February of 2005. Shirley and Fay were member of Capron United Methodist Church, where Shirley played the piano and organ, and the Boone County Farm Bureau.Survivors include her daughter, Susan Reininger of Capron, grandsons, Jeff (Kelly) Reininger, Brian (Misty) Reininger; great grandchildren Scott, Sara, Alexander Reininger; cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be established for the Capron Rescue Squad in her memory.
