Shirley Purvis-Cline, 91, of Capron, IL, died peacefully May 12, 2022.She was born July 1, 1930, in Mauston, WI, to Ivan and Doris (Rhoades) Grover.She married William Purvis, and later was married to Robert Cline. Shirley was involved in the Golden Agers and Harvard Moose Club, and was a member of the Methodist Church. She loved and cared for her family deeply. Shirley enjoyed country and polka music, dancing, and sports, including baseball, basketball, and football.
She is survived by her children Patricia (Larry) Houpt, Bill (Dana) Purvis, Robert (Mary) Purvis, and Dale (Lorna) Purvis; Step-children Steve (Lisa), Sandy (Brett), Sue (Bill), and Michelle (Jack); her sister-in-law Delores Grover; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded by her husbands, parents, son-in law, brothers, and sisters.
A visitation will be May 19, 2022, from 10 a.m.until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 West Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Pastor Darren Loeppky will officiate. Burial at Highland Garden of Memories. The family would like to give special thanks to OSF Hospice, as well as all of her special neighbors.
