Shirley Catron, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Maple Crest Care Center. Shirley was born July 7, 1935, the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Trout) White in Kingston, IL. She graduated from Belvidere High School. She married Kenneth Catron on July 4, 1954.

Shirley was extremely hardworking and loving woman. She made her spiritual home at St. John United Church of Christ, where she was part of the choir and an active member for over 60 years.

Shirley worked as a seamstress for many years and enjoyed sewing anything and everything in her spare time.

Shirley is loved and will be missed greatly by her daughter, Wendy (Javier) Rodriguez of Machesney Park and son, Kevin Catron of Belvidere; her grandchildren, Michael (Amber) Rodriguez, Peter (Sara) Rodriguez, Tabetha (Hector) Baez, Heath (Rachael) Catron; and her great grandchildren, Donavon, Camden, Kaiden and Addalyn Rodriguez; Austin, Catalina and Dakota Baez; and Clayton Catron.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Catron; her infant son, Kenneth Edward Catron Jr; her brother, Royal White; her sister-in-law Helen White; her brother, Stanley White; her sister Lucile Wallace and her brother-in-law, Herbert Wallace.
