Sherry L. Freund, 71, of Belvidere, IL passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 after a short illness. Sherry was born July 11, 1944 in Kewanee, IL, daughter of Carl and Eleanor (Blackey) Ault. She was employed by LTV Steel as a crane operator. Sherry was a former member of Bishop Hill United Methodist Church in Bishop Hill, IL. She had a love for sewing, quilting and reading.

Sherry is loved and will be missed by her children, Phillip "Rocky" (Donna) McIntire, Tony (Kellie) McIntire; grandchildren, Ashley McIntire, Phillip McIntire, Jr., Brooke (Kyle) Smith, Courtney McIntire, Chris Tonioni, Nikki Tonioni, Brittany (Robert) Ohagan, Kelsey (Kyle) Milborn, Jack McIntire; great-grandchildren, Jameson, Noah, Sebastian, Ethan; siblings, Roger (Clara) Ault, Gary (Carol) Ault, Karla (Randy) Vandermeersch; special loved ones, Alissa Meyers, Abagail Meyers. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laurie Tonioni; and two sisters. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to OSF Medical Staff and OSF Hospice for their care and compassion.
