Sharon L.
Holtfreter
Feb 27, 1947 — May 6, 2007
Belvidere, IllinoisSharon L. (Wirth) Holtfreter left her family, suddenly on Sunday, May 6th, 2007. Sharon was born on February 27, 1947 to Edward and Arlene (Sandmann) Wirth in Belvidere, IL. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Belvidere High School, class of 1965. She married Clarence Gustafson in 1967 and had two children, Kai and Erika. Sharon then married Gary Holtfreter on September 4th, 1982, in a private ceremony in her parent's back yard and was blessed with two step-children, Julia and Jamie.Sharon retired in 2002 from Chrysler Corporation Belvidere Assembly where she was an assembler for 24 years. Sharon loved the trips she took with her husband Gary to Arizona, the Black Hills, Florida, Las Vegas, Cancun and the cruise to the Bahamas. She also loved special weekends she and Gary spent in Milwaukee. She loved to shop and buy jewelry, and drag Gary on all those shopping trips. She was a great fan of QVC and Days of Our Lives. Sharon had dogs all her life as well as cats. She enjoyed playing golf for a short time. We will miss her expertise in home decorating; she especially liked to decorate for Christmas. The entire house looked like a Christmas showplace. She loved to listen to music. George Michaels, Johnny Lang, Kool and the Gang were some of her favorites. Along with music was her love for dancing. She danced with Gary twice a month at the Quark. She hated to cook so there were many nights out eating."Sharon, I would like to thank you for loving me for over twenty five years. You taught me how to show love and receive it back. We had a very special marriage together that doesn't happen too often. When two people are together 24 hours a day everyday, it takes a lot of understanding, a lot of love, a lot of give and take, and sometimes a lot of sacrifice. We had that relationship and that is why we loved the way we did. I will always love you for that. You will always be "My little Girl" and I will always remember our special saying, "It's just you and me!" Remember, it's only "Good-Bye" for now, we will be together later."Sharon leaves behind her husband, Gary; four children, Kai Gustafson, Erika Gustafson, Julia Buelow and Jamie Holtfreter. Also four grandchildren, Nick, Ryeley, Kia and Isabella. Her dogs and cats. She was predeceased by her parents and grandson, Keaton.
Memorials can be given in care of the family.
