Sharon (Thies) Carroll, 63, of Rockford, IL, lost her battle with cancer on April 17, 2022. She died surrounded by her family, on Easter Sunday, at St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford. Sharon was born July 18, 1958, daughter to Franklin and D. Lorraine (Finley) Thies in Belvidere, IL. She graduated from Belvidere High School and attended McHenry County College, receiving an Accounting certification. Sharon lived most of her adult life in McHenry and Lake Counties in Illinois. She spent her early career as a service writer in the automotive industry, later becoming a bookkeeper and office manager, most recently for a demolition company. Sharon's hobbies were many, but nearly always involved the outdoors. Over time they varied from showing her classic car to snowmobiling and fishing, but her more recent favorite activities were riding her Harley motorcycle and Geocaching. Sharon loved and spoiled her cats, and cherished time with her family.

Sharon will be dearly missed by her brother, David (Debra Seiter) Thies; sister, Carol (Al) Simon; niece, Jennifer (George) Effler-Leveille; nephews, Kevin (Sandra) Thies and Kerry (Traci) Thies; sister-in-law, Anita Thies, grandnieces and grandnephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Orin Thies, and beloved partner, Brian Johnson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28 from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL, 61008. A service will be at 11 a.m. Pastor Willy Little will officiate. Burial at Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere.
