Sharon A. Birch, 63, of Rockford, IL died Thursday afternoon, April 17, 2014 in her home.  Sharon was born in Eau Claire, WI on January 21, 1951 the daughter of LaVerne and Betty (Wallum) Skutley.  Sharon worked as a receptionist at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center and Rockford Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement.  Following her retirement, Sharon was a care taker for an elderly friend that needed assistance.  She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and the Cherry Valley Library.  Sharon will also be remembered as being a loving and devoted grandma to her grandchildren.

Sharon is loved and will be missed by her former husband, Douglas; daughters Jennifer (Monte) Johnson of Sullivan, IL and Rachel (Dan) Drescher of Eau Claire, WI; grandchildren Spencer, Brett, Carter and Owen.; sisters, Jill (Jerry) Halbleib of Eau Claire, WI, Mary Lynn (Steve Bethke) Skutley of Silver Springs, MD; brother, Mark (Carole) Skutley of Eau Claire, WI; nieces and nephews.  Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ann Drummond.

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Monday, April 21, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev.
