Sharlet M. Johnson, 76, of Belvidere, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Swedish-American Hospital following a lingering illness. Born March 7, 1938 in Belvidere; the daughter of Ralph M. and Amanda (Guke) Johnson. Sharlet worked as an operator for GTE. She enjoyed snowmobiling, Baseball, attending the Boone County Fair and car racing at the Rockford Speedway. Sharlet graduated from North Boone High School. She is survived by brother, Rodger (Gloria) Johnson, of Belvidere and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Parents, Ralph and Amanda; and three brothers, Charles, Everett and Howard.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 in First Presbyterian Church Chapel 221 N. Main Street with the Rev. Dr. Robert Kopp, officiating. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories.
