Shane Alexander Trudo, 48, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Born to Mary (Morris) Caughey on May 1, 1970 in Belvidere, IL.  Shane was a graduate of Rockford Lutheran High School and attended college in Chicago. Shane was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for many years as a child and was also a member of the LGBTQ community. He loved his family and his cat, Drako, very much. A few of his hobbies were listening to music, gardening, and planting flowers.

Shane is loved and will be missed by his mother, Mary; step-father, David E. Caughey and Roland Burns; siblings, Tawnya (Jen) Trudo, Anita (Dan) Kingery, Wendy (Mark) Childress, Heidi (De) Clay, and Tammy (Jeff) Chapman; nieces and nephews, TS, Cori Miller, Cassie Miller, Jessica Trudo, Randy Difford, Harley (Megan) Difford, Kimberly Childress, Jordan Childress, Haylee Wilkins, Brooklyn Clay, Olivia Chapman, Renee Chapman; great-nephew, Emmett; and great-nieces, Sophia and Shaylee.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Shannon Walker; grandparents, Stella (Mawsie) Morris and Thomas (Pawsie) Morris; step-grandparents, Norman Burns and Betty Jane Burns.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL, with Pastor Dina Lauman officiating. A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 prior to service. Memorials under Shane's name are to be determined by the family at a later date.
