Scott A. Whitfield, 65, of Belvidere, IL, passed away January 1, 2024, in Rockford, IL.  He was born October 8, 1958, in Rochelle, IL, son to Joseph and Beatrice (Neubert) Whitfield. Scott graduate high school and went on to have a long, dedicated, 40 plus years career with Chrysler in Belvidere in the Tool Crib department. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Belvidere, loved animals and sports. He played baseball and softball and was a huge fan of Rock music especially the band, The Who!

Scott will be loved and dearly missed by his siblings, David (Susan) Whitfield, Pamela (Daniel) Coghlan, Shawn (Delores) Whitfield; nieces and nephews, Teddy Jr. and Heather, January, David, and Brooke, Brandy, Tyler, Kylea, and Sydni; as well as numerous cousins, friends and extended family whom he loved dearly. He is welcomed into heaven by his parents, Joseph and Beatrice Whitfield; and his brothers, Ted (Sandy) Whitfield, Brian Whitfield and his sister, Cynthia Seibel; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Scott's visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Pastor Dudley Matties will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to establish a memorial in his honor.
