Sara Tyson Wolf was born February 26, 1931 in Kansas City, MO. Daughter of Dr. Eugene H. and Dola Parker Tyson.  She attended Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL where she met Bill Wolf.  Shortly before graduation Bill and Sara were married, on April 26, 1952, in Belvidere, IL.  During Bill's military service in El Paso, TX, son John was born.  Upon returning to Belvidere Thomas, Michael, Callie and Christopher were born.

Sara and Bill were very involved in the Belvidere Community.  They started the Sister City Association; in addition to helping Bill, serving as treasurer for Wolf Chevrolet Sales, Inc., Sara served as president of the Chamber of Commerce, was a member of Belvidere Rotary, Belvidere Panhellenic Association, Zonta Club, A.F.S. (American Foreign Students) and S.C.O.R.E. (Service Core of Retired Executives).  Sara also owned and operated Globetrotter Travel.  She was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church of Belvidere.

Sara is loved and will be missed by her husband, Bill; children, John (Candy) Wolf, Michael (Joyce) Wolf, Callie (Jim) Marrs, Chris (Norman White) Wolf; grandchildren, Janna (Dan) Earley, Scott (Katie) Wolf, Nicholas (Sarah) Wolf, Joseph (Char) Wolf, Frank Wolf, Mitch Wolf,  Matthew Wolf, Mary Wolf, Katie (JC) Fanning, Greg (Katie) Marrs, Lisa (John) Liebgott, Jeff (Kelly) Marrs, Stephen Wolf, Aaron Wolf, Alex Wolf; great-grandchildren, Alice Earley, Kendall Wolf, Kyle Wolf, Ethan Wolf, Kiley Fanning, Ally Fanning, Henry Marrs, Nora Marrs, Amelia Marrs, Sawyer Marrs.  Sara is preceded in death by parents, son, Thomas; grandson, David; sisters Mary and Dola.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL with Rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m.  Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Saint James Catholic Church 402 Church Street, Belvidere, IL, with Rev. Brian Geary Celebrating.  Burial will be at St. James Catholic Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Sara's name can be given in care of St. James Catholic Church, St. James School, American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.  To share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
